You are all so wonderful

The precocious Monkey

With gardening, book tours, house construction, etc. that I have to do, I am constantly wishing for more hours in the day. As some of you are aware, I’m not your “typical” blogger, in that I don’t post new stories daily (or even weekly!) however, this is not a reflection of how much I care about posting rather than the result of me trying to keep up with my constant “projects”.

I want to thank all of you for the wonderful birthday wishes, it was the icing on the cake of what was an amazing week. I also want to thank you for taking the time to pass on all your positive feedback. cr

  2. Your “work” is a constant source of inspiration and motivation for me — your love of color, plants, gardening, houses and your inimitable style give me ideas all of the time. Thank you Carolyne.

  3. Happy Birthday, Carolyne! Looks like Simon made it very special for you. Isn’t it wonderful being so loved?
Phil and I miss seeing you in Aspen. I miss Merideth and Ted, though we keep up with her.

  5. I’m so glad I can get to know you thru your website as well as your books. I’m so happy you had a lovely and memorable birthday, and I’m grateful you let me share your special time. 🙂

  6. I am such a dog lover. (And horse lover, and bird lover, and pretty much anything with a heart beat lover.) Oh, and a garden and gardening lover. Um, and a decorating lover. Well, you get the idea.

That Monkey! My heaven’s. And the little white spats on his front paws. Killer. Tell me, what breed are your sweet faced Trollop and Maya?

Thanks for your Blog, Carolyne. I enjoy every post.

  7. Oh, my it looks as if I have missed your birthday!I have bought all your books now and read each and every one!Love them.I have some glass bowls, but they are square dishes in the shop now that made me think of you!I too love to set a table, but do not do as good a job as YOU!I took notes as I read!I love the fact you do not have a dining room and that you move tables around!I too do the same.In fact, I turned the dining room into my studio as it was dark and too small for many people. It has become my cave as I love it now.Stuff I adore surrounds me.HAPPY HAPPY BELATED!MAY, what a gorgeous month for a birthday!I just bought my first Lily of the Valley plant!I know I need more but the nursery only had one!Enjoy and celebrate all month long!

  8. Your dinner looked amazing and as was stated above, the quality s more important although I don’t think many of us would protest if you posted more! 🙂 love your blog by the way.

  10. Happy belated birthday. I knew it was in May but not sure of the date. What a wonderful surprise from all
of your nearest and dearest. I know your mother was sorry to have missed it. Best wishes for her speedy recovery.
Regarding Omaha, is there a book signing or something else going on in September? – I’m in Iowa and am curious.
    Thanks

  11. It’s very difficult to keep up with a blog. I don’t think i’ve posted on mine in over a month. Glad your birthday was a good one. Looking forward to seeing you again.

  12. Hi Carolyne, How is your mom doing? I know you said she broke her hip. I hope she is well. I had enjoyed talking to her when I went to your home for Trade Secrets garden tour. I can see you had a lovely birthday and these little angels are lovely .
    God bless,
    Lisa
